They Didn't Pick Me, But Did Find A Closer Match!!!

Just before the Holidays, I put up a post about being selected as a Match for a young woman who has Leukemia! Like everyone else, I ignored the messages on my phone. Who are you and why are you calling me was my response, as you know, they don't leave much information on those messages  But when the FedEx letter came to the door, with much more information about why they had been calling me and with a request to come in for further testing, I did!

I had my interview and they told me that the Physicians would make a decision soon.  Well I received my information on how to be prepared for it and all I would have to do. A little concern about my weight and getting to the bone for the bone marrow. And of course, I had to say as I have always said; you can get to my hip bone, no problem, I carry the other weight behind me!  My iliac crests are very accessible. Those of you who know me, know what I am saying!!! 

After not hearing from them by/after the week of Christmas, I did send an email inquiry to ascertain the progress or status of the procedures. Well no decision was yet made. Trust me, I have been praying for her!!! She doesn't know it though, but she has an extra Prayer Warrior Still!  

Well, I have received a response now, and I am not sure what I am feeling at the moment, because in my heart of hearts, I wanted so much to help this young women. I was on the ready to do what this soul needed in order to progress through her life for as long as she can, whole, happy and healthy.  I am indeed healthy, Thank You Lord for that!  I do need to work on loosing some of this weight, but God has truly blessed me in my life with good health. No Diabetes, Hight Blood Pressure, Heart Problems, NADA!!!! Thank You again God!

Your likelihood of being selected for another patient has increased now that you have completed further testing. Please reply to this email or visit www.BeTheMatch.org if you have any questions, if your address or telephone number changes, or if you wish to be removed from the donor registry.

Thank you so much for your willingness to help save lives. Your compassion and selflessness give hope to patients and their families everywhere.

So please, if you can, go and be a blessing to somebody. They treat you real nice! You have designated parking places in the garage! Check it out!!!
